Kwik Trip $ale Survey (Employees Only)
Here at Kwik Trip, we strive for efficiency, and hence we have instituted an algorithm that permits our employees to effortlessly analyze and track sale trends. Our development team, consisting of the De Pere Nerds has decided after intense hardships, phases of paranoia, headaches, and screaming at each other to create a system using Python and publish it on this web page. The purpose of this application is to further enhance and improve upon our success by tracking the number of sales from each respective department. To utilize this system, you must first type in the correct username and password (Username: KTUserId and anro2788, Password: KwikTwip and Drew5050). Upon success, you will be asked a series of questions identifying the amount of sales from each department. This data will be used to create a analytic dot plot that can easily visualize for efficiency and usefulness. This will inform the facilitators and employees of which products are more or less popular. This data can be used to further explain how much money is to be invested to every branch. For example, if the doughnuts are selling highly compared to alternate products, using the application, the facilitator will seamlessly determine that more money is to be distributed towards the bakery department. It also displays the percentage of sales for each department, which can more exactly show the trends in sales. As a result, if seven drinks out of 28 total products have been sold, it will show that 25% of the total sales have been drinks.
As amazing and innovative as our new utility is, it was quite a chore to put together. Upon arriving at Appleton North High school, the De Pere nerds had never attempted a task so daunting. Despite their supreme lack of experience, they learned many new skills withing programming, such as graphing, percentages, and repeats. They are truly thankful for this opportunity and know that this learning experience will be beneficial to their later years.
In all seriousness, we would like to further enhance our app by doing the following:
- More intuitive graphs and displays
- Advice generator for employees to lucidly understand data given
- Streamlined login process
- Viable user interface in program
- More secure system to protect data
- A cloud server to communicate between location
- A connection between the register and the program to alter data easier
